Park Tower in downtown Tampa sells for nearly $80 million

A downtown Tampa high rise has changed ownership.  City Office REIT, Feldman Equities and Tower Realty Partners have joined to buy the 36-story Park Tower at 400 N. Tampa St. from Sterling Equities and joint owner PT Associates for $79.95 million or $168 per square foot.
 
The 475,000-square-foot building is 86 percent leased, and anchor tenants include BB&T, United States Department of Justice – US Attorney’s Office, Level 3 Communications and Lykes Insurance.

Ferry connecting Tampa-St. Pete adds new option for pleasure rides, potentially commuters

Initial rides on the Cross-Bay Ferry will test the waters for whether Tampa Bay area residents are willing to give up their cars and make use of more crossings at times better fit for commuters.

A new ferry service is launching in Tampa Bay called the Cross-Bay Ferry.  It will initially connect downtown Tampa with downtown St. Petersburg at a costs of $10 each way.  Providing additional transportation options to both residents and visitors is yet another stepping stone in making the region and world class destination.

SoHo Capital, the developers of The Heights, said Monday that it has signed Atlantic Beer & Oyster, which will be an outdoor restaurant along the extended Tampa Riverwalk. The Heights is a mixed-use development planned for 43 vacant acres on the Hillsborough River, overlooking downtown Tampa.
