The census made it official: Florida’s population in 2015 reached 20,271,272. Only California (39,144,818) and Texas (27,469,114) had more people, according to the bureau.


From July 1, 2014 to July 1, 2015 the population in Florida increased by 365,703 residents (1.84%) making it the 4th fastest growing state in the country behind North Dakota, Colorado and Nevada.
